Tips for First-Time Visitors to Arabian Travel Market Dubai

Arabian Travel Market Dubai

Planning to attend the Arabian Travel Market for the first time? You’re in for an exciting, high-energy experience at one of the most significant travel and tourism events in the world. Held annually in Dubai at the prestigious Dubai World Trade Centre, this event brings together thousands of professionals from across the globe to network, showcase innovations, and explore the future of travel. Whether you’re a travel agent, hotelier, or tech provider, here are essential ATM Dubai tips to help you make the most of your visit.

1. Register Early and Secure Your Spot

One of the most important Arabian Travel Market tips is to register as early as possible. Early registration not only guarantees your entry but also allows you to access the event’s digital resources, including networking features and agenda planning tools. You can choose from free visitor passes or invest in VIP access for added benefits like lounge access and priority seating.

2. Book Accommodation Near the Venue

The Arabian Travel Market Dubai takes place at the centrally located Dubai World Trade Centre, so it’s wise to stay in nearby areas like Sheikh Zayed Road, Downtown Dubai, or Business Bay. Hotels in these areas not only offer easy access to the event but are also well-connected by Dubai Metro, taxis, and private chauffeur services.

Booking early is key, especially since Arabian Travel Market 2025 is expected to attract a record number of participants. Many hotels offer special rates for attendees, so keep an eye on ATM’s official website or partner platforms.

3. Get Your Visa and Travel Documents in Order

If you’re a first-time international visitor, make sure to check the UAE visa requirements well in advance. Nationals of many countries are eligible for visa-on-arrival, but others need to apply in advance. Business travelers attending a Dubai event should carry printed copies of invitation letters, hotel confirmations, and return tickets.

Don’t forget travel insurance and a valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining.

4. Pack Smart for a Business-Focused Event

When packing for the Arabian Travel Market, think business-ready but practical. The event spans large exhibition halls and involves a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. Business casual or formal attire is ideal, with layers to handle the air-conditioned halls and warm Dubai weather outside.

Other useful items include:

Business cards or a digital contact app
Portable charger and universal power adapter
Reusable water bottle
A notebook or tablet for taking notes

5. Download the Official ATM App

A top tip for anyone first time visiting Dubai event like ATM is to download the official mobile app. The app helps you:

Navigate the massive exhibition space
Schedule meetings with exhibitors
Receive real-time notifications about sessions and networking events

It’s a great tool for personalizing your experience and ensuring you don’t miss any key events.

6. Plan Your Schedule, But Stay Flexible

There’s so much to see and do at the Arabian Travel Market, from destination showcases and product launches to panel discussions and keynote speeches. While it’s smart to plan your day using the app or printed agenda, don’t overbook yourself. Leave room for spontaneous meetings, interesting conversations, and unexpected opportunities.

If you’re attending as a company representative, try setting specific goals for each day—whether it’s securing new leads, exploring tech innovations, or finding partnerships.

7. Master the Art of Networking

Networking is one of the biggest benefits of attending the Arabian Travel Market Dubai. Bring a polished elevator pitch and be ready to connect. Use informal lounges, coffee breaks, and evening receptions to meet other professionals. It’s a good idea to follow up within 48 hours of meeting someone—either via LinkedIn or email—while the interaction is still fresh.

8. Respect Dubai’s Culture and Business Etiquette

While Dubai is a global hub, it’s important to understand and respect local customs. Dress modestly, particularly in public or during cultural excursions. Avoid public displays of affection, and always greet people politely.

In business settings, offering and accepting business cards with both hands, maintaining eye contact, and being punctual will go a long way.

9. Explore Dubai During Your Free Time

After a long day at the Arabian Travel Market, take time to unwind and explore what Dubai has to offer. Don’t miss:

Burj Khalifa: The tallest building in the world with an observation deck view
Museum of the Future: A visually stunning and thought-provoking attraction
Dubai Frame: A unique structure offering views of both old and new Dubai

For dining, try local Emirati cuisine at restaurants like Al Fanar or head to Business Bay for business-friendly options.

10. Use Chauffeur or Transfer Services for Comfort and Efficiency

Navigating Dubai can be easy with taxis, but for ultimate convenience and professionalism, consider using a chauffeur or Dubai transfer service. It saves time, ensures punctuality for meetings, and adds a layer of comfort—especially if you’re juggling a packed itinerary.

Airport Transfers & Limousine Service

Luxury airport rides and limousine services for personal and business travel.
